AMA Aims to Simplify Prior Authorization for Drugs
Help simplify prior authorization (PA) by taking an AMA survey. The survey aims to acquire a greater understanding of the PA process, perceptions and opinions around the current standards, and what—if any—support exists for establishing electronic PA (e-PA) going forward.
The AMA is collecting responses until September 4, 2008, and will share results with the Academy once this survey is complete.

Payment Policy Subcommittee Recommends Resource for Payer Negotiations
Members of the Payment Policy Subcommittee reviewed and now recommend The Physician's Comprehensive Guide to Negotiating with Payers as an additional resource to assist Academy members in their payer negotiations and contracting.
